Marketing Services Manager. My job responsibilities are primarily directed toward the development of new business enterprises for the Authority and special projects. During my tenure, I have been successfully involved in bringing nearly two dozen new clients to the Authority. The following list represents a sampling of the duties I had at the organization:

  • Identifying new clients and or services for the Authority
  • Directing the investigation into the Authority’s work on farm methane electric generation and other forms of renewable electric generation.
  • Acting as Agent for the Authority’s members and affiliates on matters relating to compliance with ISO New England and the state wide transmission providers. Developing functions and routines to handle and administer NERC duties and responsibilities.
  • Involved in transmission activities for the Authority throughout the New England and national electric industries.
  • Pursuit and trading of the renewable energy certificates in the northeastern US markets.
  • Act as liaison with Hydro-Quebec and Tran Energie for the Authority
  • Directing Authority’s efforts within NEPOOL and ISO environments on emerging and competitive markets
  • Representing the Authority in NEPOOL, ISO-New England, NEPPA, legislative, regulatory, and APPA arenas
  • Leading the Authority’s investigation in broadband services, i.e. VOIP and BPL
  • Managed and provided guidance to a department staff of three persons
  • Managed power supply forecasts and budgets to the member systems and clients.
  • Oversaw the administration and management of various electric supply and power contracts, including the resolution of various corporate bankruptcies and provided for the Authority’s trading activities on various timelines.
  • Fostered a progressive trading relationship with numerous suppliers and power contract counterparties, including the development of the standardized EEI master contract for the Authority. Aggressively maintained and communicated with a network of industry people.
  • Provided leadership in the design, development, and implementation of the Authority’s Master Supply Agreement and Central Dispatch Agreement.
  • Actively participated in the development of the new electric industry through participation in the various ISO-New England, national, and NAESB committees
  • Provided guidance and information assistance with regard to how power accounting worked.

  • Additionally, I manage the power cost tracking, own-load dispatch, monitor and participate in activities at the New England Power Pool, and the group’s computer programs and data administration involved with the company’s power contracts and regulatory filing requirements.
  • I had engaged in transactions with all of the major utilities and power marketers in the northeast. 
  • I have been actively participating in the development of new rules and regulations for conducting transactions in the New England Power Pool.
  • In addition, I have been a participant in the company’s development of an open-access transmission and market based pricing sales tariffs.
