A little bit about Bill
Bill has a diverse background with over 30 years’ experience in the power industry including nuclear generation, transmission and distribution. He held several management positions while with Eversource Energy (formerly Northeast Utilities) including NERC Reliability Compliance Manager, Nuclear Licensing Manager and Corrective Action Manager. In addition, he has served as a Lead Compliance Analyst while with PJM Interconnection. Bill also has served as a member of the NERC Compliance & Certification Committee, NERC ERO Monitoring Subcommittee, NERC CIP V5 Transition Advisory Group, NPCC Compliance Committee and the co-chair of NPCCs Task Force-Infrastructure, Security &Technology (TFIST).
Prior positions in commercial nuclear power generation include licensing and compliance; Quality Assurance; and corrective action/root cause analysis.
In prior roles, Bill has been responsible for leading the compliance efforts for a Transmission Operator, Transmission Owner, Generator Owner/Operator, Transmission Planner, and Distribution Provider. Responsibilities included preparation for all external and NERC 693 and CIP audits and spot checks, writing Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs), and training subject matter experts. He has lead efforts to assist with standards development/balloting, self-reporting and mitigation plan development, self-certifications, compliance reporting, such as protection system mis operations, Event Analysis, vegetation management, and NERC Alerts.
Bill has participated on NPCC Regional Entity TOP Certification teams and led numerous teams to assess Regional and NERC compliance with the Rules of Procedure.
