A little bit about Cory
Cory Lasseigne is a consultant in the disciplines of physical security and emergency management. Cory specializes in NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standards, risk reduction for energy infrastructure, and emergency management program development. Cory has spent the last eight years working to ensure resiliency in the nuclear and non-nuclear generation facilities, including transmission and distribution systems. Additionally, before joining Utility Services, Cory worked in the capacity of a consultant to the utility industry and as an analyst of the Oregon State's Attorney General's Criminal Justice division office Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource protection.
I have been involved in delivering physical security programs to include internal controls for access control programs. I also plan, and execute Utility Service's Securing the Grid Exercise, an exercise simulating crisis within an entity or entities. Additionally, I lead the Utility Services alerting program where both myself and other dedicated members of the Utility Services team review activity in physical and cyber security from the electric-utility industry and from other industries in order to relay these alerts to Utility Services customers increasing situational awareness. Additionally, I participate in industry working groups relating to physical security and emergency planning.
