Shai moved to Vermont from New Jersey after completing a BA in Mathematics from Rutgers University. He’s worked across the world as a mathematics researcher at the Jacob Blaustein Institute for Desert Research in Israel. Closer to home, he has tutored students in math and physics and has helped people learn chess as president of the Rutgers chess club. Besides chess, he enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, and astronomy.
