Good morning, here is your holiday/long weekend Reliability Ramblings update: there is a Level 3 NERC Alert out now. Here are the basics that you need to know:
- It is applicable to all TO’s (Transmission Owners), GO’s (Generation Owners), PA’s (Planning Authorities) and TP’s (Transmission Planners).
- The handling level for this alert has been set at Green which means it is public with no restrictions. Will be posted to NERC’s website alert page.
- The initial acknowledgement is due by Tuesday, May 27, 2025 (NEXT WEEK!) and the responses to the Essential Actions will be due by August 18, 2025.
- The NERC Alert platform is not used all that often and it is one that is hard to ensure all of your contact information is up-to-date. Internally here at USV, we try to keep everyone’s information current, but just in case, let us know if you have any issues accessing the portal and acknowledging the NERC Alert.
- USV will be reaching out in the next couple of days to get the acknowledgement done. This is to avoid folks coming back from the long weekend with this still on their plate to do.
