You may have received a notification today from the NERC Alert system. At this time there is nothing to be concerned about. This does not mean there is any incoming NERC Alert. In fact, when logging into the system the other day it said that there hasn’t been a NERC Alert in over 6 months! And USV has not heard any rumblings of one in the pipeline either.
The NERC Alert platform has collected and contains a lot of sensitive information from over the years. It seems like they are cleaning up all of that information and perhaps storing it somewhere behind closed doors. If you need any information that you’ve submitted to the NERC Alert platform over the years, this is the time to get it downloaded.
The next time you login to NERC Alerts, you’ll notice that it may say that “you haven’t responded yet” to previous NERC Alerts and that will be ok. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns or need help. If you didn’t receive this notification, it means that you may not be one of the contacts for your entity in the NERC Alerts platform. Again, if you need to update this, please reach out.
